Customs inspections are carried out on goods by Sharjah Custom's officers. The inspectors verify the documents against the cargo. There are two types of inspection:

Internal inspection:

• carried out by searching groups at Sharjah emirate ports

External inspection:

• carried out at the storehouses of the importer/exporter
